I have yet to try out the lens body cap pinhole method. I would have to recess it as much as possible to get the wider angle. But i like the soft light this one has, it is kinda like a zoneplate.

nice work.

i'm using a canon 300d and i actually extended the pin hole plate about 8mm in order to achieve a similar angle to that of a 35mm lense. these are just estimations but after doing the maths i think u will find that there isn't much need to recess it at all... oh and what i found out is that the smaller the hole is not necessarily proportional to the sharpness of the image... the optimum diamiter requires a little maths. not to mention the thickness of the plate in which the hole is in... hope this makes more sense to you than it just did to me after re reading it. :P

good luck and do the maths. it is worth it. much sharper images are accievable than mine.

Makes sense a ccd would not require as fine of a pinhole, it sorta uses individual spots of light in its own where film is a bit more twisted in its grain.

Oddly I have mastered sharpness, the soft effect achieved without a zone plate (difficult to make and manage) if one of the things I seek.
I just picked up 5 body caps for my k1000 to play with.
I will post them soon. About to get my last cemetery / NOLA trip online tonight.

Can you explain what is going on here? I've read Nitekry's comments and your's, but still not too clear.

Well a pinhole camera is basically a camera without a glass lense. it uses a pinhole to let light in instead of using curved glass to focus the light. you can learn more here if you want. [link] hope this interests you ;)
